Lately, there's been a lot of talk revolving around the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) bill, written by Lamar Smith, who just recently withdrew from it. And its sibling bill, Protect IP Act, (PIPA). Why you ask? Because these bills make website owners responsible and punishable for how users interact and use their sites. It's meant to eliminate piracy but instead it might censor our Internet and change the way we use the Web forever.
Sponsors of the bill state that they only target foreign sites. They classify sites by domain name and separate them into two categories: Domestic (.com, . org, .us, etc) and Foreign (.ly, .it, .me, ect). Under this definition many websites such as redd.it, bit.ly might be mis-labeled. Many top-level sites use services like image hosting and server distribution ect. which can divide the site as a whole between domestic and non-domestic servers.
Most of the power in these bills is granted by the Attorney General. The Attorney General can obtain a court order to take action against a foreign infringing site.
Just a few days ago the file sharing site, Megaupload, was taken down admist FBI charges of criminal copyright infringement. The FBI states that it had nothing to do with the proposed acts, Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA).
This could happen to many websites who share copyright material with its users. It could mean the shutdown of many sites that might fall under copyright infringement.
This bill doesn't do anything to stop piracy infringement but rather forces private U.S sites to police links to it. This will also hurt Startups and tech innovation. It will have a catastrophic impact on the structure of the Internet, which it currently allows the free exchange of information.
We must prevent these bills from passing, so that we may continue to use the Internet freely without worrying about legal penalties and censorship.

Cuil fue un buscador que se lanzó en 2008, creado por un grupo de antiguos ingenieros de Google, el objetivo del proyecto era dar más y mejores resultados a los usuarios que utilizaban el buscador.
La empresa declaraba tener un índice tres veces mayor que el de Google y diez veces mayor que el de Microsoft, con 124,426,951,803 páginas web. Sin embargo, a diferencia de Google, la política de privacidad de Cuil afirmaba que no almacenaba los registros de actividad de los usuarios ni sus direcciones IP.
Sus fundadores, Anna Patterson, Russell Power y Louis Monier, eran ex empleados de Google, mientras que Tom Patterson había trabajado para IBM. Por estar gestionado y desarrollado en su mayoría por ex empleados de Google, se cree que habían copiado algunos de sus métodos.

OMWT: Los Angeles, California
Tomorrow is a big day for me, I'm heading back to California after living in Honduras for about 5 years. I came back to California about 2 years ago but only for a brief visit. I went to study abroad after finishing 9th grade at my local high school at the time. I graduated from high school here in Honduras and now I plan to attend college.
Living in Los Angeles might open up many opportunities that here in Honduras are quite impossible to get due to the cultural and political problems of the country. Higher level education in the United States is much better than the one they have here in Honduras but that doesn't mean it's mediocre. It just needs more support from the government.
I'll try to keep posting things here in [wt] while I'm over there. Hopefully, over time, Wiredtab will grow into something great. And will get international attention and become the next big thing on the Web!

Mike V is one of my favorite pro skaters in the business. He's very passionate with what he does and doesn't care what people think or say about him. Every time I watch one of his demos, I get inspired and think how extraordinary he is. Just recently, he created his own skateboarding brand called Elephant Skateboards. I believe it's going to be a successful one and I wish him good luck with it.

Skateboarding a way to express yourself
Skateboarding has come a long way since the days when surfers who couldn't ride any waves decided to put wheels on wooden boards and start riding the concrete streets. It was something they could do after they were done surfing. Skateboarding was very different back then from the version we see now. It was mostly low-to-the-ground skateboarding and going down slopes.
After the invention of the "Ollie" by Alan Gelfand, skateboarding went from just low-to-the-ground skateboarding to the flips and crazy tricks we see now a days. Most of the tricks on skateboarding derive from variations fo the ollie. Music also has a very deep connection with skateboarding.
After the rise of punk music in the late 90's, skateboarders now had a more raw, edgy and dangerous attitude towards them. This helped skateboarding's popularity rise again. It helped them express their discomfort against the system that raged during that time.
Over the course of time skateboarding has become a more serious and exciting sport instead of just a hobby. It will continue to evolve, change and improve in the years to come. It will help skaters express their feelings and vent their frustrations on the concrete streets everywhere.

Metamorfosis World Tour, ese es el nombre que ha puesto Ricardo Arjona a su nueva gira internacional, en donde se presentará en varios países de América.
Esta gira ya ha comenzado con su primer concierto en la Ciudad de Toluca, Mexico en donde como es común en los conciertos de Arjona, hay un lleno total. También Metamorfosis World Tour ya ha visitado a Estados Unidos, con presentaciones en el "Madison Square Garden".
Espero ansionamente el momento cuando este nuevo Tour de Ricardo Arjona toque tierra en Honduras, para poder ir a verlo.
